This project was carried for one of our clients to streamline the company’s production chain and dramatically reduce operating and overhead costs. Being a smaller manufacturing company our client was keen to utilize their full potential to gain market share while promoting plant reliability.
In consultation with the client we based this process improvement project on the customer’s perspective; taking the time to understand what they value from their products and then using LEAN process improvement to eliminate unnecessary waste, errors and other things that drive up costs. By focusing on value, the entire process was organized to drive more of what the customer was willing to pay for.

Main problem identification using the Pareto Analysis.

Condition Monitoring led to identification of wear and inefficiencies in some of the gearboxes at one of our client’s manufacturing plant. Following that, complete gearbox overhauls and rebuild were done reviving the reliability of these assets. Its not always about replacing assets with new ones its about looking after the assets in use and realising their full potential.
